UPDATE, LOWERING TO $7000 for right person :) Found my new car and am ready to count the losses financially on Sparkles, but grateful for all amazing experiences <3
Aloha, I am letting go of 'Sparkles", a 84' VW Westfalia camper I had shipped in from Arizona about a year and a half ago. It's a 4 speed manual, got a 1.9l engine with 2.1l fuel injection. Recently got everything updated with filters etc. I can show I payed over 14k for it, and I have put in at least 10k in various repairs and updates. The plate says "4SMILE" :)
So, first one with 9k cash that knows they want this kind of van and the work it entails, gets it. As is. (UPDATE $7000 )
It has a working stove with travel propane tank, easy to replace. Sink with running water. I got the wiring installed for second battery, but never got one since I didn't need it (it goes under driver's seat). Had converter put in so I could run computer. If you got a boat porta-potty, you could live in this van! And it's sweet. I stayed in it at the YMCA camp in Haena between rentals, and it was just divine. You see the stars through the windows at night! Feel all safe in a metal capsule :) . Back to specs: It needs new tires soon, on of the reasons I lowered the price from 11k, it also has an indentation on the rear right side, although it is not effecting the looks and function. You got to keep up with rust always, but it was according to previous owner kept in garage in Arizona all these years. The back seat folds down in a click, and you can sleep, meditate or put down a blanket and slide in your boards…my big SUP board fit in there with room. The pop-top folds out a second bed. It's really roomy and nice popping it up even if you are not sleeping up there.
This camper was featured in GL magazine fashion spread, photographed by a pretty good photographer :) (models shown in picture are not included :) )
